WEB WWF SummerSlam 1991 was the fourth annual SummerSlam professional wrestling pay-per-view (PPV) event produced by the World Wrestling Federation (WWF). The event took place on August 26, 1991, at Madison Square Garden in New York City, New York.
Street Fight Steals the Show
One of the highlights of the event was the WWF World Tag Team Championship Street Fight between Legion of Doom (Hawk and Animal) and The Nasty Boys (Brian Knobbs and Jerry Sags). The match was a brutal affair, with both teams using weapons and brawling all over the arena. In the end, Legion of Doom emerged victorious, winning the titles.
A Heavenly Matrimony
WEB SummerSlam 1991 also featured the "wedding" of Randy Savage and Miss Elizabeth. The ceremony was officiated by WWF President Jack Tunney and was attended by all of the WWE Superstars minus The Undertaker and Jake Roberts.
